At Front Porch Acupuncture, our priority is simple — to provide you with the highest quality acupuncture care in a setting that is unhurried, personal, and deeply therapeutic. To protect that experience, we operate as a private pay practice and do not bill insurance companies directly.
What this means for you is straightforward — and it may be better news than you think.

WE ARE A PRIVATE PAY PRACTICE

We collect payment at the time of your visit. This keeps your care simple, your appointments on time, and your treatment completely free from insurance restrictions — meaning we treat what you need, for as long as you need it, without having to justify your care to an insurance company.
Our current session fee is $110. Initial consultation and treatment fee is $145
We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards.
HSA and FSA cards are welcome.

WE PROVIDE A SUPER-BILL — AND YOU MAY BE COVERED

Here is what many patients don't know: even though we don't bill your insurance directly, you may still be able to receive significant reimbursement from your insurance plan.
At the end of every visit, upon request, we provide you with a detailed Super-bill — a professional medical receipt containing all of the procedure codes, diagnosis codes, and provider information your insurance company needs to process your claim. You simply submit this document to your insurance provider, and in many cases they will reimburse you directly — often covering a substantial portion of your session cost.
Many of our patients find that their insurance covers anywhere from 50% to 80% of their session fee once their deductible has been met. We encourage every patient to call the member services number on the back of their insurance card and ask specifically:
• Do I have out-of-network acupuncture benefits?
• What is my out-of-network deductible?
• What percentage of the allowed amount will be reimbursed after my deductible?
• Do I need a referral or prior authorization for acupuncture?
Those four questions will give you a clear picture of what you can expect back from your plan.
We are happy to assist you in understanding your Super-bill and how to submit it. Just ask at your next visit.

WORKERS COMPENSATION PATIENTS — WELCOME

We warmly welcome patients who have been injured at work and are receiving Workers Compensation benefits.
If you have an open Workers Compensation claim, acupuncture is a covered benefit in most states — and it is one of the most effective treatments available for the workplace injuries we see most often, including:
• Chronic and acute back pain
• Neck and shoulder injuries
• Repetitive strain and overuse injuries
• Joint pain and limited mobility
• Headaches following workplace incidents
• Nerve pain and sciatica
As a Workers Compensation patient, you pay nothing out of pocket at the time of your visit. We provide you with a detailed Super-bill and all necessary documentation, which you or your case manager submits to your Workers Compensation carrier for direct reimbursement. Our team will make the process as simple and clear as possible for you.
Please bring your Workers Compensation claim number and case manager contact information to your first appointment.

Acupuncture is an IRS-qualified medical expense, which means you can use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to pay for your sessions directly — with pre-tax dollars. This is a simple and often overlooked way to significantly reduce your out-of-pocket cost.
