Functional Medicine
Integrative. Evidence-Informed. Deeply Personalized.

You Deserve Answers, Not Just a Diagnosis

You've done everything right. You've seen the specialists, run the standard labs, and been told everything looks "normal" — yet you still don't feel well. You're exhausted, inflamed, hormonally off, or simply know that something deeper is going on.
That's where functional medicine comes in.
At Front Porch, we take the time to look at the whole picture — your history, your patterns, your labs, your lifestyle — and help you understand why your body is doing what it's doing. From there, we build a personalized roadmap to help you move toward better function, more energy, and lasting wellness.
What Is Functional Medicine?

Functional medicine is a root-cause, systems-based approach to health. Rather than focusing solely on managing symptoms, it asks: What is driving this? What has been overlooked? What does this body need to function better?

I've spent a lot of years studying both acupuncture and functional medicine. My Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and my Functional Medicine certification grew out of a simple observation — each tradition had something the other didn't. Eastern and Western frameworks together allow me to bring a depth of perspective to your care that I couldn't offer with either one alone.

This is not a quick-fix model. It is a partnership — one built on thoroughness, curiosity, and a commitment to helping you feel genuinely well.

What to Expect: Your First Visit
Your initial consultation is a deep dive — typically 75 to 90 minutes. We review your full health history, symptom timeline, diet and lifestyle patterns, and any previous lab work you bring with you. Together, we begin identifying the patterns and priorities that matter most in your case.
You will leave with clarity, and receive a written care plan summary, and a clear sense of what the next steps look like.

Ongoing Support
Follow-up visits build on your initial work — tracking progress, refining your protocol, and adjusting recommendations as your body responds. We offer both in-person and telehealth visits for established patients throughout Georgia.

Lab Interpretation
We offer in-depth functional interpretation of lab work. Patients may choose to use patient-directed lab services — such as Rupa Health, Ulta Lab Tests, or Any Lab Test Now — to access a wide range of conventional and specialty testing without a physician referral. We then review your results together using functional reference ranges, which are narrower and more health-forward than standard clinical ranges, to identify patterns that may be contributing to your symptoms.
This is an educational and wellness-focused process — we help you understand what your labs may be reflecting and how nutrition, your nervous system, lifestyle, and targeted supplementation may support better function.

A Note on Our Approach
Functional medicine services at Front Porch are provided on a self-pay, wellness-focused basis. We are not diagnosing or treating disease — we are supporting your body's capacity to function well through personalized nutrition, lifestyle, nervous system regulation and supplement guidance informed by a thorough review of your health history and labs.
A superbill can be provided upon request for potential out-of-network insurance reimbursement. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
